AIK FOTBOLL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Protegéerna the free kick. A collision led to AIK FOTBOLL getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Bennet in the 25th minute of play forced AIK FOTBOLL's goalkeeper Sven-Oskar Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, AIK FOTBOLL's goal looked a bit too open when Olof Löfkvist came free, but Sven-Oskar Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Henning Blomberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, AIK FOTBOLL's Villiam Andersson got a free kick in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roy Bennet in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Erling Fredriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Stefan Mårtensson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Holger Johnsson. Stefan Mårtensson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roy Bennet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Villiam Andersson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Protegéerna's Olof Löfkvist quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Sven-Oskar Andreasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristoffer Kock in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, AIK FOTBOLL's goalkeeper Sven-Oskar Andreasson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roy Bennet. 61 minutes into the game, Kristoffer Kock was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holger Johnsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Holger Johnsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klas Västlund in the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to Protegéerna getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Kristoffer Kock hit a great ball. Kristoffer Kock kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Roy Bennet had several of the AIK FOTBOLL's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 71 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Sven-Oskar Andreasson as he didn't even see the shot coming. Protegéerna made a substitution. Charlie Apelquist replaced Alexander Lundström. After having played for 77 minutes, Roy Bennet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Protegéerna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roy Bennet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Protegéerna's Roy Gallberg was substituted for Roy Bennet. Protegéerna's attentive Henning Blomberg managed to snatch the ball when Aleksander Stålman made a throw-in in the 86th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Rolf Glad in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Protegéerna's Henning Blomberg. AIK FOTBOLL's Konrad Hedvall got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Konrad Hedvall off the ground. A collision led to AIK FOTBOLL getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Konrad Hedvall hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roy Gallberg in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sven-Oskar Andreasson saved AIK FOTBOLL from getting behind. Klas Västlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
