John Bogren took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Markus Nordlund. Markus Nordlund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Markus Nordlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Bogren, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Markus Nordlund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the game, Kevin Björling was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rank 1's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yung Gunners FK the free kick. A collision led to Rank 1 getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Kevin Björling hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the game, Rank 1's John Bogren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Markus Nordlund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 24th minute, Jonathan Karlstedt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philip Kleen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Markus Nordlund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from John Bogren went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 37 minutes into the match, Stefan Pååk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Markus Nordlund. Yung Gunners FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stefan Pååk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Philip Kleen was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Ulf Hedman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ulf Hedman really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. In the 47th minute Stefan Pååk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Nordlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 2-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulf Hedman to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Jonathan Karlstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Markus Nordlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Pååk in the 51st minute of play. Markus Nordlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Bogren in the 53rd minute of the match. When Yung Gunners FK's Ulf Hedman in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee ignored Rank 1's protests and gave Jan-Åke Abrahamsson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Yung Gunners FK booed when Rank 1 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Åke Abrahamsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Philip Kleen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Hedman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, John Bogren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Markus Nordlund. Yung Gunners FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that John Bogren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-6. Jonathan Karlstedt's late challenge caught a Rank 1's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Karlstedt helped the player get up and apologised. Ulf Ros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Nordlund having to interfere. Philip Kleen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulf Hedman's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Ulf Hedman put it in 3-8 from a short distance just to the right of Philip Kleen. After 91 played minutes Rank 1 got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Hellström. Klas Rudqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klas Rudqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Klas Rudqvist hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the match was over Rank 1 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Yung Gunners FK throughout the match.
