The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filiph Walroth showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Jan-Åke Norström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malmö Torpedos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lokomotiv Sick-Sack the free kick. Eric Billock's late challenge caught a Lokomotiv Sick-Sack's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Billock helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Malmö Torpedos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! In the 15th minute Franz Jääger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin Lindblom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
