The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Folke Öman during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Calle Lundqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to UÅ Mästerbotten getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Mikael Valrot hit a great ball. When Leo Björck came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Djurgården IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Björck couldn't finish the play. With his leg Dan Palmquist managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when UÅ Mästerbotten's George Lindberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 63 minutes into the match, Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Dan Palmquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arne Lagerberg. In the 65th minute, Jesper Wallin made a precise shot to the right of Dan Palmquist. Djurgården IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
