The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gnesta Oilers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Yngve Wennerquist scored to the left of an out of position Erling Bergfelt, making the score, 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, Ludvig Eklund lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Erling Bergfelt. Benjamin Fanström kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Erling Bergfelt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Bållström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th match minute, Gnesta Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonny Almstedt to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Gnesta Oilers's goalkeeper Erling Bergfelt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ludvig Eklund. 23 minutes into the game, La Boys's Ludvig Eklund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 36th minute of the match La Boys got a corner. Gnesta Oilers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Knut Wållander ran over to the corner to take the kick. Erling Bergfelt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ludvig Eklund's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Erling Bergfelt made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Yngve Wennerquist sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Gnesta Oilers's Erling Bergfelt got control of the ball when Yngve Wennerquist tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sakarias Hellbom stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robert Nordin's late challenge caught a Gnesta Oilers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Nordin helped the player get up and apologised. Robert Nordin hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the match, Gnesta Oilers's goal looked a bit too open when Ludvig Eklund came free, but Erling Bergfelt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erling Bergfelt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yngve Wennerquist in the 57th minute of play. Erling Bergfelt didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when La Boys's Ludvig Eklund shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ludvig Eklund in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erling Bergfelt saved Gnesta Oilers from getting behind. Erling Bergfelt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yngve Wennerquist in the 72nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ludvig Eklund in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erling Bergfelt saved Gnesta Oilers from getting behind. Erling Bergfelt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludvig Eklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. La Boys's Robert Nordin got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Robert Nordin off the ground. Robert Nordin hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match.
