The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the game, Elliott Termander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Övertorneå RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Boys the free kick. After 7 played minutes Övertorneå RK got a freekick which was hit by Elliott Termander. The supporters of La Boys booed when Övertorneå RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Hedman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Övertorneå RK's zone, Tom Bållström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anders Beckeman came out of the goal and Tom Bållström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th match minute, La Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Ahlbeck to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan-Ove Fransson in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eskil Sundberg saved La Boys from getting behind. In the 40th minute, Yngve Wennerquist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Övertorneå RK's Casper Haraldsson suffered a sprained foot after 42 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Övertorneå RK made a substitution. Örjan Anselius replaced Casper Haraldsson. After 43 played minutes La Boys got a freekick which was hit by Jonny Wahlnäs. Torbjörn Enström was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rudolf Håkansson was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yngve Wennerquist in the 56th minute of play forced Övertorneå RK's goalkeeper Anders Beckeman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Övertorneå RK defense, Yngve Wennerquist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anders Beckeman. The Övertorneå RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anders Beckeman should have stopped the shot. Anders Beckeman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolf Håkansson in the 60th minute of the match. Anders Beckeman came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by La Boys's Yngve Wennerquist. But to his dismay, Yngve Wennerquist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Övertorneå RK's Roland Hedman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eskil Sundberg. That made the score 3-1 after 65 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Yngve Wennerquist managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Yngve Wennerquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anders Beckeman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Boys. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. La Boys fully deserved thier win.
