The supporters of SSC Ambrosini booed when Strömsbro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Söder didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Åberg in the 10th minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Per-Olof Walroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kasper Kristiansson charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kasper Kristiansson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kasper Kristiansson kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Valdemar Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Walroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Strömsbro IF defense, Joel Forssell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Per-Olof Walroth. The Strömsbro IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Per-Olof Walroth should have stopped the shot. The Strömsbro IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SSC Ambrosini were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Rosen to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Jörn Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Ekegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jörn Hermansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Björn Ekegren having to interfere. Torsten Soned kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Strömsbro IF were awarded a corner. Bernt Löfskog went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Strömsbro IF's corner Bernt Löfskog fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Björn Ekegren quite easily take care of the ball. If Jörn Hermansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 63 minutes into the match, SSC Ambrosini's goal looked a bit too open when Jörn Hermansson came free, but Björn Ekegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jörn Hermansson in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Björn Ekegren saved SSC Ambrosini from getting behind. Gabriel Bäckström hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the game, Jon Ivarsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Strömsbro IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SSC Ambrosini the free kick. SSC Ambrosini's Alf Kullgren couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 75th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Strömsbro IF. Nils-Åke Telin kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Joel Forssell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 83 minutes into the match, SSC Ambrosini's goal looked a bit too open when Jörn Hermansson came free, but Björn Ekegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Strömsbro IF's Rickard Söder pulled a muscle in his leg after 84 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Joel Forssell fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SSC Ambrosini's protests and gave Joel Forssell a yellow card for diving instead. Strömsbro IF made a substitution. Sven-Arne Spets replaced Rickard Söder. In the 85th minute, Joel Forssell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Björn Ekegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörn Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Strömsbro IF's Per-Olof Walroth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Forssell in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SSC Ambrosini eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
