In the 2nd minute, Eskil Danielsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 3 played minutes Honung got a freekick which was hit by Josef Mellin. Gustaf Rudberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patric Ambjörnsson in the 5th minute of play. Gustaf Rudberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Josef Mellin's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Erland Törnblom lost his temper 8 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Erland Törnblom hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. A collision led to AC United getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ingvar Täman hit a great ball. AC United's Gustaf Rudberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Mellin in the 14th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, AC United's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Unesson came free, but Gustaf Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronny Bokelund during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, AC United's Ronny Bokelund got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute Magnus Pålsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaf Rudberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Honung's Jan-Olof Bröms got control of the ball when Algot Månsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Josef Mellin took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustaf Rudberg. Gustaf Rudberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Josef Mellin to make the kick off. Patric Ambjörnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Rudberg having to interfere. When Or I fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honung's protests and gave Or I a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Honung getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Emil Unesson hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Ludwig Sandberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus Jakobsson hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Birger Josefsson struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Jan-Olof Bröms didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC United. In the 74th match minute, AC United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronny Bokelund to maneuver through the defense. Marcus Jakobsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Gustaf Rudberg made a huge save. Patric Ambjörnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gustaf Rudberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaf Rudberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patric Ambjörnsson in the 78th minute of the match. After 89 minutes, Daniel Ekenberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC United and the Honung players grew even worse after the yellow card.
