Spectators: 158 (Terracing: 119, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dan Hegg took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd match minute, Vänge IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Hermansson to maneuver through the defense. Dan Hegg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thor Grönberg having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dan Hegg got free with Thor Grönberg in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the match, Karen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tor Njurenius came free, but Bengt-Åke Smitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Hegg's late challenge caught a Vänge IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Hegg helped the player get up and apologised. Dan Hegg kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. If Dan Hegg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Karen FC's Kjell Larsfält got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Bengt-Åke Smitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hannes Barck, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Sven-Olof Dahlberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Thor Grönberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bengt-Åke Smitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herman Hermansson in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Ulf Nyberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tor Njurenius in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt-Åke Smitt saved Karen FC from getting behind. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Linus Brovall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roger Lönn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Bengt-Åke Smitt made a huge save. After 61 played minutes Vänge IF got a freekick which was hit by Folke Kihlberg. Karen FC's Sven-Olof Dahlberg got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Karen FC's goalkeeper Bengt-Åke Smitt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roger Lönn. Thor Grönberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Hegg, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Tor Njurenius dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bengt-Åke Smitt, 1-3. Hannes Barck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Bengt-Åke Smitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, Karen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Hegg to maneuver through the defense. Tor Njurenius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Bengt-Åke Smitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karen FC's Bengt-Åke Smitt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Karen FC from getting a goal against them. After 83 minutes of play, Vänge IF's Tor Njurenius made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt-Åke Smitt was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Tor Njurenius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bengt-Åke Smitt was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Vänge IF's Hannes Barck got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vänge IF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
