After 3 minutes, Nichifor Onișoru made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Viola Invest's David Şneapotă tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 7th minute, Viola Invest's Florin Răducioiu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The audience was convinced that Nichifor Onișoru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Şneapotă was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Onișoru in the 13th minute of play forced Viola Invest's goalkeeper David Şneapotă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ionel Jupân got free with Damian Vieru in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Viola Invest's George Teodoreanu got a free kick in the 18th minute. Nichifor Onișoru took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Şneapotă. David Şneapotă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Nae Bărboianu might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damian Vieru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nae Bărboianu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24thth minute of the game Nichifor Onișoru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Viola Invest's David Şneapotă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. David Şneapotă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nistor Stanciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ionel Jupân got free with Damian Vieru in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Damian Vieru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Răducioiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Viola Invest's David Şneapotă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nichifor Onișoru in the 41st minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florin Răducioiu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Florin Răducioiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damian Vieru was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 57th minute, Ionel Jupân made a precise shot to the right of Damian Vieru. Emerald's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. When Cristian Guguianu came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Emerald fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Guguianu couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute Florin Răducioiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Vieru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Ionel Jupân left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Viola Invest fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Nichifor Onișoru's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but David Şneapotă firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nichifor Onișoru got free with David Şneapotă in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Viola Invest getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Nae Bărboianu hit a great ball. After 92 minutes, Florin Răducioiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Viola Invest and the Emerald players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Emerald booed when Viola Invest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florin Răducioiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Guguianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
