Remus Manciulea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valeriu Goma in the 8th minute of the match. Valeriu Goma took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remus Manciulea. Remus Manciulea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Valeriu Goma took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remus Manciulea. When Tudor Gheară fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soca's protests and gave Tudor Gheară a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes, DINAMO PLOIESTI's Ferdinand Pătran shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remus Manciulea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DINAMO PLOIESTI reached it. Ionică Costăchescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Manciulea having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Soca's goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Costăchescu came free, but Remus Manciulea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ionică Costăchescu took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remus Manciulea. Remus Manciulea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 45 minutes into the game, DINAMO PLOIESTI's Ionică Costăchescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remus Manciulea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After the first half DINAMO PLOIESTI were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valeriu Goma was the one to do the kick off. After 56 played minutes, Soca's Manuel Chițan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gelu Galușcă came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Soca reached it. DINAMO PLOIESTI's Gelu Galușcă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidiu Zorlescu in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Valeriu Goma managed to get in a good position for a shot. DINAMO PLOIESTI's supporters rose to their feet, but Valeriu Goma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remus Manciulea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th match minute, Soca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Encioiu to maneuver through the defense. Remus Manciulea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Pană went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute, Valeriu Goma made a precise shot to the right of Remus Manciulea. Soca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. If Sabin Baicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mircea Encioiu during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of DINAMO PLOIESTI booed when Soca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mircea Encioiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Pană's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Remus Manciulea firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Valeriu Goma kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Remus Manciulea. That made the score 1-8 in the 88 minute of play. Remus Manciulea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Goma in the 94th minute of play. DINAMO PLOIESTI played a much better game than Soca and deserved their victory. The Soca players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
