A collision led to DINAMO PLOIESTI getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Răzvan Pisculescu hit a great ball. Andrei Nicola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Gelu Galușcă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. DINAMO PLOIESTI's Gelu Galușcă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nik Nicola in the 8th minute of play. Sebastian Pană fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Avacariței having to interfere. Ionică Costăchescu kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Mircea Avacariței showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valeriu Goma, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The supporters of FC Urzicuța booed when DINAMO PLOIESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Gogu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Nik Nicola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ivan Gheordunescu's late challenge caught a DINAMO PLOIESTI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valeriu Goma charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. FC Urzicuța's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
