In the 8th minute Valeriu Floroiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Bociort saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Club 23 booed when Balavanis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigi Văcăroiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Balavanis's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Gugulanu came free, but Cătălin Simuţ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicodim Gugulanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Cătălin Simuţ when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicodim Gugulanu to strike the kick off in the second half. Balavanis's Cătălin Simuţ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Purcaru in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Club 23 getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gigel Căliman hit a great ball. After 71 minutes, Cristinel Crainic mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club 23 and the Balavanis players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st minute, Cristinel Crainic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damian Bociort took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeriu Floroiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club 23's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Valeriu Floroiu scored to the left of an out of position Damian Bociort, making the score, 1-1. Balavanis's Cătălin Simuţ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Căliman in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Balavanis's Ciprian Sângeorzan got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Cristinel Crainic managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club 23's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristinel Crainic was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cătălin Simuţ breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute Gigel Căliman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Simuţ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
