An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorel Tărâţă in the 87th minute of play forced DINAMO PLOIESTI's goalkeeper Ferdinand Pătran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Balavanis's Cătălin Simuţ got control of the ball when Sebastian Pană tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ciprian Sângeorzan's late challenge caught a DINAMO PLOIESTI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciprian Sângeorzan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Ciprian Sângeorzan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as DINAMO PLOIESTI's Valeriu Goma slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cătălin Simuţ. That made the score 2-1 after 93 minutes of play. Balavanis walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
