Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Codruț Dragotescu started the match with the kick off. Gigel Volosin's late challenge caught a Granicerul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gigel Volosin helped the player get up and apologised. Codruț Dragotescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toader Almăgean having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Nicu Olăroiu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Damian Bociort, passed just outside the right post. When Codruț Dragotescu fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club 23's protests and gave Codruț Dragotescu a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Club 23 got a freekick which was hit by Codruț Dragotescu. Gigel Volosin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucrețiu Roşculeţ might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toader Almăgean. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucrețiu Roşculeţ ran back to his position shaking his head. Codruț Dragotescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Granicerul's Dorel Albescu got a free kick in the 38th minute. Granicerul's Toader Almăgean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Dragotescu in the 41st minute of play. After 48 played minutes Club 23 got a freekick which was hit by Constantin Gurlui. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Club 23 booed when Granicerul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Olăroiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucrețiu Roşculeţ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toader Almăgean having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Volosin in the 60th minute of play forced Granicerul's goalkeeper Toader Almăgean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Club 23 getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Codruț Dragotescu hit a great ball. Damian Bociort took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doru Corbeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Granicerul booed when Club 23 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vali Mălăele didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75thth minute of the game Răzvan Geolgău who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club 23's Damian Bociort was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Răzvan Geolgău notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Club 23's Damian Bociort. Damian Bociort was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Nicu Olăroiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doru Corbeanu took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damian Bociort. Damian Bociort dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Club 23's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
