Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Irinel Grozăvescu started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Manole Ghiondea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Manole Ghiondea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Cămărășan. The supporters of FC Lutanu booed when Galati Harbour Cats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxim Moșanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Irinel Grozăvescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Galati Harbour Cats getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Filip Mavrogheni hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Filip Mavrogheni sped through FC Lutanu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ştefan Gârniceanu. 25 minutes into the game, Cosmin Claudiescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galati Harbour Cats's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Lutanu the free kick. In the 25th match minute, Galati Harbour Cats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosmin Claudiescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Irinel Grozăvescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manole Ghiondea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isac Zota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Manole Ghiondea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ştefan Gârniceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxim Moșanu in the 31st minute of play. Irinel Grozăvescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Manole Ghiondea made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maxim Moșanu in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ştefan Gârniceanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Galati Harbour Cats getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Aristide Bocșa hit a great ball. Ştefan Gârniceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxim Moșanu in the 42nd minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Irinel Grozăvescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Lutanu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Irinel Grozăvescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Filip Mavrogheni made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, FC Lutanu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Maxim Moșanu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Irinel Grozăvescu's late challenge caught a Galati Harbour Cats's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irinel Grozăvescu helped the player get up and apologised. Ştefan Gârniceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Mavrogheni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Lutanu's Denis Sitaru got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Ştefan Gârniceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Mavrogheni in the 66th minute of play. Maxim Moșanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Ştefan Gârniceanu made a huge save. Manole Ghiondea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irinel Grozăvescu in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Mavrogheni in the 72nd minute of play forced FC Lutanu's goalkeeper Ştefan Gârniceanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filip Mavrogheni did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Ştefan Gârniceanu 73 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Galati Harbour Cats's Viorel Ponta got a free kick in the 76th minute. Martin Cămărășan's late challenge caught a Galati Harbour Cats's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Cămărășan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute, Martin Cămărășan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87thth minute of the game Irinel Grozăvescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galati Harbour Cats's Manole Ghiondea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Irinel Grozăvescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Manole Ghiondea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Martin Cămărășan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Lutanu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Cămărășan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Lutanu! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Galati Harbour Cats had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
