Navigatii Bacău's Costin Răchitan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigi Spineanu in the 18th minute of play. Cazimir Bănățeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toader Opriș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ferestrele AS's Paul Racoviță got a free kick in the 24th minute. Toader Opriș's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cazimir Bănățeanu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Corneliu Cismaș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cazimir Bănățeanu having to interfere. Ivan Tutunaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Cazimir Bănățeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilian Lovinescu in the 35th minute of play forced Navigatii Bacău's goalkeeper Costin Răchitan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Ferestrele AS's goalkeeper Cazimir Bănățeanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Corneliu Cismaș. Cazimir Bănățeanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gigel Curteanu went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. After 77 played minutes Ferestrele AS got a freekick which was hit by Paul Racoviță.
