Sever Piţurcă made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Traian Voina sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 17 minutes, Nistor Balint managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Traian Voina who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Sever Piţurcă when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 18thth minute of the game Leontin Bungescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC TraLaLa's Sever Piţurcă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Traian Voina's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sever Piţurcă firmly grabbed it by the left post. RB Buzău's Gigel Lupea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leontin Medrea in the 41st minute of play. After 43 played minutes FC TraLaLa got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Medrea. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leontin Medrea was the one to do the kick off.
