FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC UNIREA Alba Iulia the free kick. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Cristinel Tiberian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save FC PIETROSUL -MM- from getting a goal against them. Iulian Bucurescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Chițu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Tomulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Gigi Câmpeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Cristinel Tiberian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iulian Bucurescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Tomulescu in the 44th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Tudor Bărbânță ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristinel Tiberian was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Tudor Enoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Felix Chițu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iulian Bucurescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Chițu in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iulian Bucurescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Iulian Bucurescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Tomulescu. In the 74th minute, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Emanuel Tomulescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iulian Bucurescu. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC PIETROSUL -MM- had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
