Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's Vlad Harbuz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gigel Mateescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alin Agud in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Emanuel Finteșteanu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's Gigel Mateescu. Gigel Mateescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iulian Bucurescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save FC UNIREA Alba Iulia from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonard Tărbac got free with Iulian Bucurescu in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Cristi Platon got a free kick in the 12th minute. Gigi Câmpeanu scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gigel Mateescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gigel Mateescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Bărbânță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iulian Bucurescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vlad Harbuz in the 22nd minute of play. Gigi Câmpeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 26 minutes of play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Alin Agud made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gigel Mateescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iulian Bucurescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vlad Harbuz in the 30th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Tudor Bărbânță cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Gigel Mateescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN defense, Emanuel Finteșteanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gigel Mateescu. The PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gigel Mateescu should have stopped the shot. Vlad Harbuz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute Gigi Câmpeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Mateescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Tudor Bărbânță made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the game, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Gigi Câmpeanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gigel Mateescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Gigel Mateescu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mihai Odobescu. Emanuel Finteșteanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Gigel Mateescu made a huge save. In the 69thth minute of the game Vlad Harbuz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iulian Bucurescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN booed when FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Platon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Stelian Sinulescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iulian Bucurescu skillfully saved the ball. Emanuel Finteșteanu's late challenge caught a PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Finteșteanu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Finteșteanu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlad Harbuz in the 79th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Iulian Bucurescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigi Câmpeanu had several of the PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 81 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-8 score and a disappointed Gigel Mateescu as he didn't even see the shot coming. Iulian Bucurescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Tărbac, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC UNIREA Alba Iulia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
