After 2 minutes, Iurie Sima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A4p FC Gad and the FC Buciumii players grew even worse after the yellow card. Iurie Sima hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Traian Podgoreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Sima, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. FC Buciumii's Traian Podgoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Halipa in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of A4p FC Gad booed when FC Buciumii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irinel Plopeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Buciumii's Traian Podgoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iurie Sima in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Liviu Halipa made a precise shot to the right of Traian Podgoreanu. FC Buciumii's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iurie Sima in the 16th minute of play forced FC Buciumii's goalkeeper Traian Podgoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laurențiu Dinescu got free with Gigi Dăscălescu in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Traian Acalinei during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Traian Podgoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Halipa in the 24th minute of play. The A4p FC Gad fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when A4p FC Gad's Liviu Halipa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of A4p FC Gad booed when FC Buciumii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Drăghici didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, FC Buciumii's Laurențiu Taşcău dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Laurențiu Taşcău made the kick off in the second half. Gigi Dăscălescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Dinescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Remus Chițes hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the FC Buciumii defense, Liviu Halipa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Traian Podgoreanu. The FC Buciumii fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Traian Podgoreanu should have stopped the shot. 60 minutes into the game, Robert Vlăsiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A4p FC Gad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Buciumii the free kick. The supporters of A4p FC Gad booed when FC Buciumii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Jurcuț didn't get a good kick on the ball. Traian Podgoreanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Liviu Halipa went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The supporters of FC Buciumii booed when A4p FC Gad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octav Lăzăroiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th match minute, FC Buciumii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silviu Bârsan to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Silviu Bârsan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silviu Bârsan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ilie Crainic got free with Traian Podgoreanu in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 93 played minutes A4p FC Gad got a freekick which was hit by Liviu Halipa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iurie Sima in the 95th minute of play forced FC Buciumii's goalkeeper Traian Podgoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. A4p FC Gad walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
