Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Avram Terzian took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Cornel Mihai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nechifor Savin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Maci -MM-'s Doru Opincaru got a free kick in the 6th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Cosmin Bobeica nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nechifor Savin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 12th minute of the match, Eugen Spoială got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aurelian Vârlan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 16 minutes into the match, Minerul Baita -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Doru Opincaru came free, but Aurelian Vârlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 played minutes FC Maci -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Ovidiu Agulescu. Nechifor Savin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosmin Bobeica in the 20th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Maci -MM-'s zone, Cornel Mihai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nechifor Savin came out of the goal and Cornel Mihai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the game, Eugen Spoială was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Maci -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Minerul Baita -MM- the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, FC Maci -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Spoială to maneuver through the defense. Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Avram Terzian 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Mandache came free, but Nechifor Savin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurelian Vârlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avram Terzian, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Tudor Hobjilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

After 51 minutes, Iordache Mortu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Maci -MM- and the Minerul Baita -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Ionuț Baran was substituted for Cornel Mihai. After a rather tough play, FC Maci -MM-'s Iordache Mortu got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Akim Miner fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minerul Baita -MM-'s protests and gave Akim Miner a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Minerul Baita -MM- getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Akim Miner hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Nicolae Pădureanu in the 65th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Minerul Baita -MM- made a substitution. Corneliu Nae replaced Maxim Grecescu. 68 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goalkeeper Nechifor Savin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionuț Baran. In the 69th match minute, FC Maci -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Opincaru to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute Gelu Agârbiceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Vârlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Aurelian Vârlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidiu Agulescu in the 78th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Minerul Baita -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Pădureanu came free, but Aurelian Vârlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cosmin Bobeica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Grozuță recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Minerul Baita -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Avram Terzian came free, but Aurelian Vârlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 played minutes Cosmin Bobeica rounded FC Maci -MM-'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Minerul Baita -MM-'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
