After 3 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Costel Gurgui. Basarab Achimescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dacian Ghițescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Dacian Ghițescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iulian Taşcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute, Felix Mihăilescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dacian Ghițescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Taşcu in the 13th minute of play. Horaţiu Nițoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Mihăilescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to -BZF- Barca de Buzau getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Felix Vorniceanu hit a great ball. In the 19th minute of the match Sorin Nicorici shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Horaţiu Nițoi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Iulian Taşcu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dacian Ghițescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Horaţiu Nițoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Golo Phoenix in the 27th minute of play. Horaţiu Nițoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Golo Phoenix, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The supporters of -BZF- Barca de Buzau booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nistor Vermeşan didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Mihăilescu in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horaţiu Nițoi saved -BZF- Barca de Buzau from getting behind. After 55 played minutes Eduard Nechifor rounded PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Horaţiu Nițoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Golo Phoenix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Costin Titulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Golo Phoenix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave -BZF- Barca de Buzau the free kick. After 63 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Golo Phoenix. Iulian Taşcu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Dacian Ghițescu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Eduard Nechifor in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Rotariu in the 70th minute of play forced -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goalkeeper Horaţiu Nițoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 played minutes -BZF- Barca de Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Codruț Ichimescu. A collision led to -BZF- Barca de Buzau getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Codruț Ichimescu hit a great ball. If Golo Phoenix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Hristea lost his temper 82 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Lucian Şimonca shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Felix Vorniceanu kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After 95 minutes, Ovidiu Pătrașcu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -BZF- Barca de Buzau and the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Ovidiu Pătrașcu got a free kick in the 95th minute. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Horaţiu Nițoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristide Fetea in the 96th minute of play. 98 minutes into the match, Virgil Jupân had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horaţiu Nițoi. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgil Jupân was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The -BZF- Barca de Buzau players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
