Spectators: 206 (Terracing: 155, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Horia Irimescu made the kick off which started today's match. After some careless play in the Academia Rio defense, Ferdinand Simionescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nechifor Epure. The Academia Rio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nechifor Epure should have stopped the shot. In the 8th minute of the match F.C.BARLAD got a corner. Academia Rio's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paul Albuț ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on F.C.BARLAD's corner Paul Albuț fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nechifor Epure quite easily take care of the ball. Nechifor Epure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Arghir, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute of the match F.C.BARLAD got a corner. Academia Rio's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paul Albuț ran over to the corner to take the kick. F.C.BARLAD's Paul Albuț was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nechifor Epure in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when F.C.BARLAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rareș Vârlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Albuț charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paul Albuț the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, F.C.BARLAD's Paul Albuț got a free kick in the 31st minute. Horia Irimescu, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Ferdinand Simionescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. F.C.BARLAD's Bogdan Gurgui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horia Irimescu in the 38th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 56th match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horia Irimescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute Edgar Arghir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Epure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Plopșor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Epure having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play, F.C.BARLAD's Petru Moldoveanu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nechifor Epure was left in no man's land by his defense there! F.C.BARLAD's Ferdinand Simionescu got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute Marian Aliuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Epure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernest Mahonea hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. F.C.BARLAD's Paul Albuț couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Academia Rio. 85 minutes into the match, F.C.BARLAD's goalkeeper Bogdan Gurgui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horia Irimescu.
