The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Damian Dăscălescu charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damian Dăscălescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes The Valar got a freekick which was hit by Damian Dăscălescu. The Valar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Dacian Patrichi scored to the left of an out of position Francisc Ghionescu, making the score, 1-0. In the 13th minute of the match Sandu Munteanu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisc Ghionescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute, Rovine Craiova's Dacian Patrichi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Francisc Ghionescu. Francisc Ghionescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 18th minute, Gandalf Grey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cezar Ghinescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Francisc Ghionescu made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Virgil Vergulescu sent off a good shot on target. 22 minutes into the game, Gandalf Grey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Cezar Ghinescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Valar's Francisc Ghionescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionică Istodor in the 26th minute of play. Damian Dăscălescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cezar Ghinescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gandalf Grey, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Gandalf Grey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Valar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3.
The wind increased when Olimpiu Postelnicescu made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Silviu Stoian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olimpiu Postelnicescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cezar Ghinescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Olimpiu Postelnicescu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 59th minute. Rovine Craiova made a substitution. Matei Comișel replaced Silviu Stoian. In the 63rd match minute, The Valar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olimpiu Pascu to maneuver through the defense. Francisc Ghionescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dacian Patrichi's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Francisc Ghionescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matei Comișel in the 72nd minute of the match. Cezar Ghinescu was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Damian Dăscălescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Damian Dăscălescu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. In the 80th minute Matei Comișel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisc Ghionescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Matei Comișel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisc Ghionescu. The Valar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matei Comișel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. Gandalf Grey's late challenge caught a Rovine Craiova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gandalf Grey helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, The Valar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gandalf Grey to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionică Istodor in the 87th minute of play forced The Valar's goalkeeper Francisc Ghionescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pompiliu Bugariu's late challenge caught a Rovine Craiova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pompiliu Bugariu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, The Valar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pompiliu Bugariu to maneuver through the defense. When Matei Comișel came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Rovine Craiova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matei Comișel couldn't finish the play. Francisc Ghionescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgil Vergulescu in the 90th minute of the match. Francisc Ghionescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dacian Patrichi in the 92nd minute of play. After taking down the ball on Rovine Craiova's corner Sandu Munteanu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francisc Ghionescu quite easily take care of the ball. The Rovine Craiova supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching The Valar's performance. The match ended with a win for The Valar.
