Emanuel Hristea kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Liviu Răuţă had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidiu Marin. FC Cosula-BTF-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liviu Răuţă was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Răuţă in the 11th minute of play forced FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Ovidiu Marin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Iulian Taşcu came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the -BZF- Barca de Buzau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iulian Taşcu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to -BZF- Barca de Buzau getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Panait Vochin hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Dacian Jurăscu came free, but Horaţiu Nițoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes -BZF- Barca de Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Liviu Răuţă. 25 minutes into the game, Sever Mărăscu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Cosula-BTF-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave -BZF- Barca de Buzau the free kick. In the 31st minute, Aurelian Giurcă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ovidiu Marin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panait Vochin in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, FC Cosula-BTF-'s goal looked a bit too open when Panait Vochin came free, but Ovidiu Marin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panait Vochin in the 37th minute of play forced FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Ovidiu Marin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Olimpiu Teodorescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dacian Jurăscu made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, FC Cosula-BTF- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olimpiu Bobeica to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Purje fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidiu Marin having to interfere. Horaţiu Nițoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irinel Plop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Iulian Taşcu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidiu Marin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Horaţiu Nițoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Teodorescu in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute FC Cosula-BTF- were awarded a corner. Ciprian Gaiță went to the cornerflag to take it. Ovidiu Marin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Vochin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Liviu Răuţă kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ovidiu Marin. That made the score 1-3 in the 87 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched -BZF- Barca de Buzau eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
