Wincenty Pacholewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, F.C. Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Zbyszko Andrzejewski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ludomir Pietras. After 10 played minutes F.C. Sosnowiec got a freekick which was hit by Boguslaw Jaszynski. Jan Sobieski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Resel in the 14th minute of the match. MKS Legion Częstochowa's Jan Sobieski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Resel in the 15th minute of play. Wincenty Pacholewski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zbyszko Andrzejewski having to make a save. After a rather tough play, F.C. Sosnowiec's Ulryk Rzeszutko got a free kick in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, MKS Legion Częstochowa's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Resel came free, but Jan Sobieski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, F.C. Sosnowiec's Boguslaw Jaszynski got a free kick in the 29th minute. The long shot by Mieszko Barys in the 30th minute really tested Zbyszko Andrzejewski's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wasyl Dytrych was the one to do the kick off. If Norbert Borowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute Cezary Literski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbyszko Andrzejewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Sosnowiec's zone, Ludomir Pietras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zbyszko Andrzejewski came out of the goal and Ludomir Pietras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, F.C. Sosnowiec's Norbert Borowski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Ulryk Rzeszutko kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Norbert Borowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jan Sobieski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
