In the 8th minute, Edgar Ziomkowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Krzysztof Nowakowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 10th minute of the match, Kacper Gondek got a very nice opportunity to score, but Michal Czarnecki was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With 12 minutes on the clock, Stasio Furlit commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Markowy Team booed when Zawisza Bydgoszcz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stasio Furlit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Markowy Team's Michal Czarnecki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Markowy Team from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludomir Fabiszak in the 31st minute of play forced Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Krzysztof Nowakowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bogumil Betonowy's late challenge caught a Markowy Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bogumil Betonowy helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Zawisza Bydgoszcz getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Bogumil Betonowy hit a great ball. Krzysztof Nowakowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fryderyk Bartocha in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Iwo Lewicki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iwo Lewicki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute, Lucjan Cuber left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Markowy Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iwo Lewicki to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgar Ziomkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Krzysztof Nowakowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute of the match Zawisza Bydgoszcz got a corner. Markowy Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bartlomiej Wawrukiewicz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Andrzej Olejniczak was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The referee ignored Markowy Team's protests and gave Edgar Ziomkowski a yellow card for diving instead. Markowy Team's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
