Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bastian Ytterstad started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ken McGurk in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olav Øverby saved Brufoss IL from getting behind. 13 minutes into the match, FC ARK CS's goal looked a bit too open when Bastian Ytterstad came free, but Nicky Askew reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Tor-Egil Arntsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brufoss IL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Nicky Askew showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bastian Ytterstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 32 minutes, Kenneth Foldnes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brufoss IL and the FC ARK CS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Brufoss IL's Kenneth Foldnes got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Trev Drury hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. FC ARK CS's Nicky Askew played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bastian Ytterstad in the 38th minute of play. After 42 minutes, Bastian Ytterstad made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Nicky Askew made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. After the first half Brufoss IL were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Bastian Ytterstads short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Nicky Askew to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bastian Ytterstad got free with Nicky Askew in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Duke during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC ARK CS getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Oscar Duke hit a great ball. After 63 minutes, Bastian Ytterstad made it 1-7 with a short kick to the right side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bastian Ytterstad in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicky Askew prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Kenneth Foldnes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brufoss IL's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenneth Foldnes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicky Askew breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicky Askew made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Bastian Ytterstad sent off a good shot on target. Karl Bergstrøm's late challenge caught a FC ARK CS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl Bergstrøm helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Brufoss IL getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Karl Bergstrøm hit a great ball. Arild Reppen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Nicky Askew made a huge save. Nicky Askew made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bastian Ytterstad in the 86th minute. The audience was convinced that Tor-Egil Arntsen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicky Askew was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. In the 88th minute of the match Brufoss IL got a corner. FC ARK CS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jørund Nyhagen ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nicky Askew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leif Mæhlum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 1-9 when Bastian Ytterstad sped through FC ARK CS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicky Askew. Brufoss IL's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
