Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hagbart Trantofte to make the kick off. Børge Ryal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kresten Barnow, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute Kresten Barnow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Børge Ryal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Børge Ryal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frede Holts in the 93rd minute. When the match was over FC Nordsjælland could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hønning throughout the match.
