In the 3rd minute, Dave Ferrell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ampthill FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 6thth minute of the game Dave Ferrell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but JK Shefid's Erik Väärtnõu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 7th match minute, Ampthill FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garry Kinsey to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Garry Aspinall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Väärtnõu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Villem Asmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th match minute, Ampthill FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tod Hay to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Garry Aspinall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Väärtnõu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute Dave Ferrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Väärtnõu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Garry Aspinall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Erik Väärtnõu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dave Ferrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Erik Väärtnõu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dave Ferrell's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dave Ferrell to make the kick off. Dave Ferrell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Erik Väärtnõu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conal Knight-Percival in the 52nd minute of play forced JK Shefid's goalkeeper Erik Väärtnõu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dave Ferrell in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Erik Väärtnõu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dave Ferrell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Erik Väärtnõu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. JK Shefid's Erik Väärtnõu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save JK Shefid from getting a goal against them. 60 minutes into the match, Tod Hay dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Erik Väärtnõu, 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Ferrell in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erik Väärtnõu saved JK Shefid from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, JK Shefid's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Ferrell came free, but Erik Väärtnõu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Conal Knight-Percival took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Erik Väärtnõu to make any attempt to save it. When Ampthill FC's Dave Ferrell in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye JK Shefid's goalie prevented a goal. Erik Väärtnõu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dave Ferrell's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dave Ferrell in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik Väärtnõu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of JK Shefid booed when Ampthill FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conal Knight-Percival didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dave Ferrell got free with Erik Väärtnõu in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute, Dave Ferrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Seaman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaanus Rõuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, JK Shefid's Erik Väärtnõu got control of the ball when Garry Aspinall tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dave Ferrells short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Erik Väärtnõu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ampthill FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
