The crowd rose to their feet as Give Peace a Chance's Özcan Weiser slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Richard Lawton. That made the score 1-0 after 2 minutes of play. When FC LIVERPOOL's Gavin Freeman in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Give Peace a Chance's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavin Freeman in the 8th minute of play forced Give Peace a Chance's goalkeeper Moritz Weidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geoff Colley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Moritz Weidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Frederik Base was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Give Peace a Chance's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC LIVERPOOL the free kick. After 12 played minutes Give Peace a Chance got a freekick which was hit by Frederik Base. 13 minutes into the game, FC LIVERPOOL's Gavin Freeman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moritz Weidt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Geoff Colley put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Moritz Weidt. Give Peace a Chance's Moritz Weidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoff Colley in the 24th minute of play. Geoff Colley kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Kort Schinnenburg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the game, Gavin Freeman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Moritz Weidt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 32 minutes into the match, FC LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper Richard Lawton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kort Schinnenburg. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kort Schinnenburg got free with Richard Lawton in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute Özcan Weiser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Lawton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Kort Schinnenburg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Give Peace a Chance fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. The Give Peace a Chance players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC LIVERPOOL were winning 2-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kort Schinnenburg to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Özcan Weiser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Lawton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Philip Kennedy managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC LIVERPOOL's supporters rose to their feet, but Philip Kennedy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moritz Weidt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC LIVERPOOL's Philip Sheridan was substituted for Gavin Freeman. FC LIVERPOOL's Damion Ferrell was substituted for Mark Beattie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özcan Weiser in the 60th minute of play forced FC LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper Richard Lawton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Geoff Colley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Friedrich Hester might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Lawton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Friedrich Hester ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özcan Weiser in the 73rd minute of play forced FC LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper Richard Lawton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geoff Colley had several of the Give Peace a Chance's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 78 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-5 score and a disappointed Moritz Weidt as he didn't even see the shot coming. 84 minutes into the match, FC LIVERPOOL's goal looked a bit too open when Özcan Weiser came free, but Richard Lawton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özcan Weiser in the 93rd minute of play forced FC LIVERPOOL's goalkeeper Richard Lawton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the FC LIVERPOOL defense, Kort Schinnenburg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Richard Lawton. The FC LIVERPOOL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richard Lawton should have stopped the shot. Chants of FC LIVERPOOL echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Give Peace a Chance had held the ball for most of the match.
