In the 11th minute, Alfred Dærup ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerry Neville was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 14 played minutes Leicester Lions got a freekick which was hit by Peter Kitchen. Gerry Neville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Dærup, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Gerry Neville managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Strib Galacticos IF's Robin Hagensted fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 26th match minute, Leicester Lions was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Wills to maneuver through the defense. Nathan Leyburn took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rikardt Kjeldsvig. Rikardt Kjeldsvig dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After 31 minutes, Alfred Dærup mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Strib Galacticos IF and the Leicester Lions players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Strib Galacticos IF getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Alfred Dærup hit a great ball. Alfred Dærup could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Gerry Neville made a huge save. If Ronan Walls had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Leicester Lions booed when Strib Galacticos IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magnus Risted didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

55 minutes into the game, Ashley Hamilton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rikardt Kjeldsvig. Ashley Hamilton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 58th match minute, Leicester Lions was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vic Burrows to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 59 minutes, Robin Hagensted managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strib Galacticos IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Hagensted was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronan Walls's late challenge caught a Strib Galacticos IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronan Walls helped the player get up and apologised. If Preben Heie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Leicester Lions booed when Strib Galacticos IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludwig Jærndal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Strib Galacticos IF's Preben Heie got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Strib Galacticos IF's Rikardt Kjeldsvig got control of the ball when Vic Burrows tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sigvart Gotliebsen during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 76 played minutes Strib Galacticos IF got a freekick which was hit by Sigvart Gotliebsen. Peter Kitchen hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. If Sigvart Gotliebsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 92 minutes into the game, when Ralf Hind put in a rough tackle. Ralf Hind kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Gerry Neville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terkild Svarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
