Spectators: 205 (Terracing: 154, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ben Moxon got the match started through his kick off. Carsten Schaub scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dan Elwick, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sönke Odenwälder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronnie Blakeley in the 13th minute of play. After 15 minutes of play, Coventry Wasps's Ben Moxon made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sönke Odenwälder was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the match, Coventry Wasps's Ronnie Blakeley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sönke Odenwälder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute of the match Coventry Wasps got a corner. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Greg Corcoran ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Greg Corcoran almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Sönke Odenwälder did a great save. Carsten Schaub fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Elwick having to interfere. Fritz Nettig charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fritz Nettig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Fritz Nettig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Sönke Odenwälder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruce Roche. In the 27th minute Carsten Schaub shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Elwick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carsten Schaub received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Dan Elwick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Elwick came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Carsten Schaub. But to his dismay, Carsten Schaub quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Dan Elwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fritz Nettig in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronnie Blakeley in the 39th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Sönke Odenwälder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivica Tschida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Coventry Wasps's Justin Shuttleworth was substituted for Ben Moxon. Coventry Wasps made a substitution. Lucas Bridgewater replaced Ronnie Blakeley. In the 54th minute, Bolko Röhmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Fritz Nettig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Justin Shuttleworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sönke Odenwälder having to interfere. After 71 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Maximilian Stößlein. Fritz Nettig kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Archie Robinson hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Carsten Schaub ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dan Elwick was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Fritz Nettig managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Fritz Nettig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Elwick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donny Paget kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
