Filippo Diana came out of the goal and Miltos Seletopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th match minute, Li Archibugieri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beppe Luongo to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st match minute, Li Archibugieri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermanno Fracassi to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Miliokas in the 43rd minute of play forced Li Archibugieri's goalkeeper Filippo Diana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Li Archibugieri fully deserved thier win.
