In the 18th minute of the match Enrico Cirone sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anthony Bigeni skillfully saved the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Fiume Veneto's goalkeeper Ercole Briganti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Deguara. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Demetrio Giorgi during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Floriana Celtics booed when Fiume Veneto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demetrio Giorgi didn't get a good kick on the ball.
