In the 3rd match minute, Chouliarades was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loukianos Pararas to maneuver through the defense. Achille Miccoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Miliokas in the 5th minute of play. In the 10th minute Carmine Cerasoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theocharis Zouvelekis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Aureli during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 36 minutes into the game, Spadarolo's Carmine Cerasoli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theocharis Zouvelekis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Carmine Cerasoli made the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Bernardo Vierchowod mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spadarolo and the Chouliarades players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Miliokas in the 58th minute of play forced Spadarolo's goalkeeper Achille Miccoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Aureli kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Giannis Miliokas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille Miccoli having to interfere. Giannis Miliokas scored 1-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Achille Miccoli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, Alfredo Aureli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fedele Di Giandomenico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmine Cerasoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theocharis Zouvelekis having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miltos Seletopoulos in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Achille Miccoli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thanks to some nice moves Bernardo Vierchowod could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Theocharis Zouvelekis however easily saved by the left post. A well-hit corner resulted in Christian Di Lullo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The supporters of Spadarolo booed when Chouliarades was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikos Konstantinou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chouliarades succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Spadarolo had controlled the match.
