Akastos Kouros hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Chatziioannou Kakratsas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Empire of Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Alkaios Tsionas came free, but Timos Econome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miltos Theriaklis charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miltos Theriaklis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute Tityos Dounias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Themistoklis Charalambakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Go Ahead Eagles's Giannis Papakostopoulos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Timos Econome made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 22nd minute, David Beckham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Timos Econome was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a rather tough play, Empire of Soccer's Arkas Potamianos got a free kick in the 25th minute. Chatziioannou Kakratsas scored 0-3 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Timos Econome, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chatziioannou Kakratsas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Arkas Potamianos fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Empire of Soccer's protests and gave Arkas Potamianos a yellow card for diving instead. 0-4 came in the 35th minute when Chatziioannou Kakratsas all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Timos Econome. Soulis Xanthakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Giorgos Tsartas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Empire of Soccer getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Phaiakes Kouches hit a great ball. The Empire of Soccer players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Go Ahead Eagles were winning 0-4.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Panos Rachiotis in the 52nd minute of play forced Empire of Soccer's goalkeeper Timos Econome to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chatziioannou Kakratsas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when Empire of Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aigimios Vrettos didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Empire of Soccer's Timos Econome got control of the ball when Chatziioannou Kakratsas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timos Econome showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giannis Papakostopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Empire of Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Papakostopoulos came free, but Timos Econome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timos Econome stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giannis Papakostopoulos's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Empire of Soccer's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Chatziioannou Kakratsas scored to the left of an out of position Timos Econome, making the score, 0-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giannis Papakostopoulos in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timos Econome saved Empire of Soccer from getting behind. 70 minutes into the game, Giannis Papakostopoulos lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Timos Econome. Timos Econome made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Tsartas in the 76th minute of play. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when Empire of Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phaiakes Kouches didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 minutes, Giannis Papakostopoulos made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Empire of Soccer's Timos Econome tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Miltos Theriaklis made in the 81st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Empire of Soccer's Arkas Potamianos. After 84 played minutes Empire of Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Chronis Angelis. With a little luck, Empire of Soccer's Timos Econome got control of the ball when Giannis Papakostopoulos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Go Ahead Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Soulis Xanthakos to maneuver through the defense. Timos Econome came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Go Ahead Eagles's Chatziioannou Kakratsas. But to his dismay, Chatziioannou Kakratsas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. Go Ahead Eagles's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
