Ernesto Falone's late challenge caught a GREEN LIONS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Falone helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Ernesto Falone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kyriakos Vardis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amerigo Totaro in the 30th minute. Achille Fava stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitris Kalokiris's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Andreas Seremetiadis managed to get in a good position for a shot. GREEN LIONS's supporters rose to their feet, but Andreas Seremetiadis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Achille Fava breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amerigo Totaro was the one to do the kick off. Amerigo Totaro charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amerigo Totaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amerigo Totaro hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. GREEN LIONS were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Verbano FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexandros Aggelas took the corner. After taking down the ball on GREEN LIONS's corner Alexandros Aggelas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Achille Fava quite easily take care of the ball. When GREEN LIONS's Dimitris Kalokiris in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Verbano FC's goalie prevented a goal. With his leg Achille Fava managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when GREEN LIONS's Dimitris Kalokiris fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Ntinos Samaras fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GREEN LIONS's protests and gave Ntinos Samaras a yellow card for diving instead. Achille Fava stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitris Kalokiris's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Jack Collovati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyriakos Vardis having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Dimitris Kalokiris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. GREEN LIONS's Dimitris Kalokiris got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 73 minutes of play Verbano FC's Ernesto Falone was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of GREEN LIONS booed when Verbano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Falone didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 minutes of play GREEN LIONS's Ntinos Samaras was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Jack Collovati sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Eleftherios Fasoulas notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Verbano FC's Achille Fava. Achille Fava was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andreas Seremetiadis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Achille Fava tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over GREEN LIONS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Verbano FC throughout the match.
