Spectators: 162 (Terracing: 122, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Achille Fava acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 2nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Panos Rachiotis. Verbano FC's Achille Fava proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Verbano FC from getting a goal against them. Achille Fava stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giannis Papakostopoulos's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Giannis Papakostopoulos had several of the Verbano FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 16 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Achille Fava as he didn't even see the shot coming. Giannis Papakostopoulos hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Go Ahead Eagles's Giannis Papakostopoulos was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 21st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 31 played minutes Go Ahead Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Giorgos Tsartas. Mauro Sardella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Verbano FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Fortunato Bianchi hit a great ball. Verbano FC's Felice Bottaro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Soulis Xanthakos, made in the 41st minute of the game. In the 43rd minute, Verbano FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Giannis Papakostopoulos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Giannis Papakostopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Go Ahead Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giannis Papakostopoulos couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giannis Papakostopoulos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Alkaios Tsionas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 53 minutes, Giannis Papakostopoulos made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Verbano FC's Achille Fava tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Soulis Xanthakos hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Verbano FC's Amerigo Totaro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Themistoklis Charalambakis. Themistoklis Charalambakis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Themistoklis Charalambakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Collovati in the 65th minute of play. Jack Collovati sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Verbano FC's Achille Fava played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Papakostopoulos in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Go Ahead Eagles's Babbis Kabitakis got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 76th play minutes Giannis Papakostopoulos shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Achille Fava and just under the crossbar into goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, David Beckham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Go Ahead Eagles's supporters rose to their feet, but David Beckham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Achille Fava breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Go Ahead Eagles's Themistoklis Charalambakis got control of the ball when Amerigo Totaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Achille Fava stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giannis Papakostopoulos's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 91st match minute, Verbano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Sardella to maneuver through the defense. A hard and well directed shot from Chatziioannou Kakratsas led 92 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Verbano FC's Achille Fava became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 6-1. Go Ahead Eagles's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
