Bernardo Donati kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Verbano FC's Achille Fava played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Gori in the 14th minute of play. Dennis Calcio made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Amerigo Totaro sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Verbano FC's Amerigo Totaro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dennis Calcio. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. Achille Fava made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Gori in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Jack Collovati reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dennis Calcio. The goal made the score 2-0. 27 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's Ernesto Caniglia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Achille Fava narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Alvaro Gori made a precise shot to the right of Achille Fava. Verbano FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 32 minutes into the match, Verbano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Caniglia came free, but Achille Fava reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Amerigo Totaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verbano FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sorci Viola the free kick. Amerigo Totaro hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Achille Fava took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Gori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37thth minute of the game Alvaro Gori who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Verbano FC's Achille Fava was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 40th match minute, Sorci Viola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ercole Caracciolo to maneuver through the defense. Mauro Sardella was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Amerigo Totaro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dennis Calcio came out and tried to block the shot, but Amerigo Totaro slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amerigo Totaro to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Collovati came free, but Dennis Calcio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Amerigo Totaro in the 55th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Ercole Caracciolo kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 60 minutes, Aldo Lucchetti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sorci Viola and the Verbano FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Verbano FC booed when Sorci Viola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Lucchetti didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 minutes of play, Verbano FC's Jack Collovati made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dennis Calcio was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Verbano FC's zone, Ernesto Caniglia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Achille Fava came out of the goal and Ernesto Caniglia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Amerigo Totaro put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dennis Calcio. Alvaro Gori recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Verbano FC's Achille Fava proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Verbano FC from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Verbano FC's goalkeeper Achille Fava, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Aldo Lucchetti was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. Aldo Lucchetti hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Achille Fava didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alvaro Gori went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Alvaro Gori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille Fava having to interfere. Dennis Calcio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Collovati in the 94th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sorci Viola players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Verbano FC.
