In the 63rd minute Achilleas Vasilatos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Masciarelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Achilleas Vasilatos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ΠΑΟΚ FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. In the 73rd minute, Alfredo Monaco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Takis Saltamaras was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. In the 83rd minute, Achilleas Vasilatos made a precise shot to the right of Damiano Masciarelli. Merceron United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Dario Cardillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merceron United's supporters rose to their feet, but Dario Cardillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Takis Saltamaras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Merceron United's Alexander Longo got a free kick in the 89th minute. Alexander Longo lost his temper 92 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Damiano Masciarelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aris Voutsas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ΠΑΟΚ FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
