In the 6th match minute, ERGOTELIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitris Krasakis to maneuver through the defense. Evaggelos Koutsodimos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ferdinando Carosella went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Armando Minati's late challenge caught a ERGOTELIS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Minati helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ERGOTELIS booed when Carloforte f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Minati didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anestis Kapsimalis charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anestis Kapsimalis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th minute, Anestis Kapsimalis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 minutes, Menelaos Karezis made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Carloforte f.c.'s Alex Federici tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 23 played minutes ERGOTELIS got a freekick which was hit by Christos Dimitriadis. The audience was convinced that Menelaos Karezis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Federici was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Carloforte f.c.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thomas Psaris was slow to take the kick. During this time ERGOTELIS's players had a chance to rest. Andrea Capasso thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Alex Federici, a very annoying self made goal in the 29th minute which led to 1-2. 33 minutes into the game, ERGOTELIS's Menelaos Karezis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Federici made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. If Thomas Theocharis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amedeo Orioli in the 37th minute of play forced ERGOTELIS's goalkeeper Evaggelos Koutsodimos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amedeo Orioli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaggelos Koutsodimos having to interfere. Alex Federici took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Menelaos Karezis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Amedeo Orioli came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Carloforte f.c. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amedeo Orioli couldn't finish the play.

In the 53rd match minute, ERGOTELIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitris Krasakis to maneuver through the defense. Carloforte f.c.'s Angelo Vitale couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ERGOTELIS. ERGOTELIS's Evaggelos Koutsodimos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Carosella in the 57th minute of play. Ferdinando Carosella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaggelos Koutsodimos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinando Carosella in the 64th minute of play forced ERGOTELIS's goalkeeper Evaggelos Koutsodimos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Menelaos Karezis hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Evaggelos Koutsodimos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amedeo Orioli's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 76th match minute, Carloforte f.c. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fedele Di Croce to maneuver through the defense. ERGOTELIS's Thomas Psaris couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carloforte f.c.. Ferdinando Carosella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaggelos Koutsodimos having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Menelaos Karezis in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Federici saved Carloforte f.c. from getting behind. Ferdinando Carosella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaggelos Koutsodimos having to interfere. The ERGOTELIS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
