Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Ermanno Clemente started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute, Emanuele Pollastrini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Aquile Azzurre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ferruccio Costanzo made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Beppe Vianello sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Scarinci in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Bergomi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Beppe Vianello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermanno Clemente got free with Ferruccio Costanzo in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfredo Bergomi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edoardo Proia, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. When FC Aquile Azzurre's Angelo Scarinci in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. ASD Real Molinella 1911's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Aquile Azzurre the free kick. Ermanno Clemente kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Angelo Scarinci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Bergomi having to interfere. Alfredo Bergomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edoardo Proia in the 47th minute of play. After the first half FC Aquile Azzurre were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 51 minutes, Angelo Scarinci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Aquile Azzurre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Scarinci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Angelo Scarinci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermanno Clemente kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. With his leg Alfredo Bergomi managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when FC Aquile Azzurre's Angelo Scarinci fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 64th minute Beppe Vianello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferruccio Costanzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franco Catena struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Alfredo Bergomi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Aquile Azzurre. After a defensive mix-up in FC Aquile Azzurre's zone, Ermanno Clemente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferruccio Costanzo came out of the goal and Ermanno Clemente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Aquile Azzurre's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
