ASD Real Molinella 1911's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave En avant de guingamp the free kick. Maelgwn Le Meur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Alfredo Bergomi made a huge save. Alfredo Bergomi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marius Bruna went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to ASD Real Molinella 1911 getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Flavio Chizzo hit a great ball. Aymerick Michelet's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alfredo Bergomi firmly grabbed it by the left post. ASD Real Molinella 1911's Alfredo Bergomi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save ASD Real Molinella 1911 from getting a goal against them. Aymerick Michelet received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfredo Bergomi came out and tried to block the shot, but Aymerick Michelet slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maelgwn Le Meur in the 46th minute of play forced ASD Real Molinella 1911's goalkeeper Alfredo Bergomi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maelgwn Le Meur to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, ASD Real Molinella 1911's Ermanno Clemente dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Maelgwn Le Meur didn't get a good kick on the ball. En avant de guingamp's supporters rose to their feet, but Aymerick Michelet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
