Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Marcos Mourão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the game, Silvano Morais was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alcantarilla FC the free kick. The Alcantarilla FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s performance.
