Tirant lo Blanch's Domeka Talavera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Tirant lo Blanch from getting a goal against them. Isac Gusmão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anxelu Casillas's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Angrense's zone, Agustín Zapater stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isac Gusmão came out of the goal and Agustín Zapater tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Tirant lo Blanch's Alain Morientes got a free kick in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Tirant lo Blanch's Mundo Suárez got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 29th minute, Artur Rego made a precise shot to the right of Domeka Talavera. Tirant lo Blanch's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The supporters of Tirant lo Blanch booed when SC Angrense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Abrantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Anxelu Casillas came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Tirant lo Blanch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anxelu Casillas couldn't finish the play. Anxelu Casillas charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anxelu Casillas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Anxelu Casillas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Tirant lo Blanch's Agustín Zapater got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anxelu Casillas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anxelu Casillas got free with Isac Gusmão in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Domeka Talavera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Regalado's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After some careless play in the Tirant lo Blanch defense, Artur Rego kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domeka Talavera. The Tirant lo Blanch fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domeka Talavera should have stopped the shot. García Gonzalvez hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Tirant lo Blanch's Anxelu Casillas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Isac Gusmão. That made the score 2-1 after 77 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivón Barroso in the 81st minute of play forced SC Angrense's goalkeeper Isac Gusmão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tirant lo Blanch's Agustín Zapater got his second yellow card of the match in the 86th minute. The referee ordered Agustín Zapater off the ground. In the 87th match minute, Tirant lo Blanch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Zapater to maneuver through the defense. SC Angrense's Artur Rego got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gabriel Zambujal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the SC Angrense players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
