Zarco Bandeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radamel Falcao in the 4th minute of the match. Zarco Bandeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radamel Falcao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingos Estrela charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domingos Estrela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 8 minutes into the game, one of FC Beatriz 08:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 13th play minutes Hugo Bernardes shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Geraldo Poças and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, FC Beatriz 08's Radamel Falcao got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Hugo Bernardes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geraldo Poças was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Geraldo Poças showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Bernardes in the 25th minute of the match. Gregório Brochado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Zarco Bandeira made a huge save. In the 36th minute, Radamel Falcao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gervásio Mourato kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. MZ Fénix's Joel Caeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Joel Caeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Geraldo Poças was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 44thth minute of the game Joel Caeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Beatriz 08's Geraldo Poças was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Joel Caeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geraldo Poças was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Geraldo Poças made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Caeiro in the 47th minute of play. The FC Beatriz 08 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MZ Fénix were winning 0-3.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Bernardes made a kick off. After 50 played minutes FC Beatriz 08 got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Estrela. In the 51st minute Hugo Bernardes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Poças saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Bernardes took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geraldo Poças. Geraldo Poças dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After 55 played minutes MZ Fénix got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Caneira. Sidónio Quental sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Caeiro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With an all-out effort, MZ Fénix's Geraldo Poças threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Horácio Vasconcelos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mário Rodrigues during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 70 minutes into the game, one of FC Beatriz 08:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After having played for 74 minutes, Hugo Bernardes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MZ Fénix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Bernardes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Bernardes in the 76th minute of play forced FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Geraldo Poças to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Joel Caeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geraldo Poças was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Joel Caeiro took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geraldo Poças. Geraldo Poças dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. When Gregório Brochado fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Beatriz 08's protests and gave Gregório Brochado a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st match minute, FC Beatriz 08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregório Brochado to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the game, Hugo Bernardes lined in a short shot 0-8 behind a frustrated Geraldo Poças. 97 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's goal looked a bit too open when Sidónio Quental came free, but Zarco Bandeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. MZ Fénix walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
