Cassandros Elite Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MZ Fénix the free kick. Tobias Cerqueira hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute Vítor Severiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abílio Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filinto Santarém came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zarco Bandeira could save by the left post. 35 minutes into the game, Horácio Vasconcelos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MZ Fénix's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cassandros Elite Team the free kick. The supporters of Cassandros Elite Team booed when MZ Fénix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Vítor Severiano made a precise shot to the right of Abílio Abreu. Cassandros Elite Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Cassandros Elite Team's Abílio Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Severiano in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of MZ Fénix booed when Cassandros Elite Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Vilanova didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Aldaír Figueiredo made a precise shot to the right of Abílio Abreu. Cassandros Elite Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3.

The wind increased when Vítor Severiano made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Reginaldo Moreira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Abílio Abreu. That made the score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Aldaír Figueiredo took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Abílio Abreu to make any attempt to save it. Cassandros Elite Team's Abílio Abreu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Cassandros Elite Team from getting a goal against them. MZ Fénix's Vítor Severiano got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd match minute, Cassandros Elite Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Neves to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Severiano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abílio Abreu came out and tried to block the shot, but Vítor Severiano slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 76th minute. Zarco Bandeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filinto Santarém, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as MZ Fénix's Reginaldo Moreira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abílio Abreu. That made the score 0-7 after 84 minutes of play. The MZ Fénix fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when MZ Fénix's Reginaldo Moreira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 95 minutes into the match, Reginaldo Moreira notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Cassandros Elite Team's Abílio Abreu. Abílio Abreu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. MZ Fénix played a much better game than Cassandros Elite Team and deserved their victory. The Cassandros Elite Team players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
