The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Plauto Dobale to strike the kick off in the second half. Celso Baía recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The MZ Fénix fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when MZ Fénix's Celso Baía looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Juanito Erosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo Moreira in the 67th minute of play. A.D. Alcorcón's Juanito Erosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Baía in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginaldo Moreira in the 75th minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Juanito Erosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Celso Baía made a precise shot to the right of Juanito Erosa. A.D. Alcorcón's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Celso Baía had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MZ Fénix's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
